Adobe and Google Team Up
On Friday it was announced that Adobe and Google are now teaming up to bring Google Toolbar to Adobe users. The toolbar will be available as part of the Macromedia Shockwave Player download. According to the press release…
“With over 200 million downloads to date, the Macromedia Shockwave Player is the Web standard for powerful multimedia playback. Available for free, the Shockwave Player allows users to view interactive Web content such as games, business presentations, entertainment, and advertisements from a Web browser. Hundreds of thousands of Shockwave Players are downloaded every day, and Shockwave Player is installed on more than 55 percent of Internet-enabled desktops.”
Google is known for its amazing software, a lot of which is web based and Adobe is known for its powerful design software. It is only fitting that these two powerhouses work together.
I recently wrote about how Adobe and Microsoft are in a battle and this has me wondering how Microsoft feels about this new collaboration. Especially since Microsoft is a direct competitor of Google in the search engine arena.
