I have never really been that much into fonts and the inspiration behind them. That was until I came across a new feature on the Graphic Design section of About.com. For 2007 About.com is going to feature a font a day five times a week. Each time a sample of the font will be displayed and a brief paragraph about the inspiration behind it will be included.

For someone who loves fonts, this is a great way to feed your addiction. If you are new to the world of fonts and their inspirations, this is a great way to start out. I know I’ll definitely be checking the Featured Fonts of 2007 in order to grow my knowledge about fonts. After all, fonts are a huge part of graphic design!

Some of the fonts featured so far are: Pink Martini, Humbucker, Side Walk and Felt Tip Pen
