Game: Petals Around The Rose
This isn’t really design or prepess related but I think it’s an interesting look at the way a creative person (or anyone else) thinks. So tighten that “thinking cap” and let me know how you did.
‘The game is quite simple. Only a basic understanding of math is required and an open and creative mind. The game can be used as an example of how different people look at the world differently, and how these different ways of looking can yield different answers. In “Petals Around the Rose” there is always one correct answer. The problem is how we define the problem.’
Once you figure it out, you’re not supposed to tell anyone the rules. Here is the game.
Here is an article about what happened when Bill Gates was introduced to Petals Around the Rose in June 1977. How he tackled this brain teaser is an interesting insight into the man at the helm of Microsoft.

Just surfed in via Blog Explosion… interesting game. It took me about 5 or 6 minutes, and I’d just nearly given up, but finally got it. Clever.
