Global Freelancer Survey of 2007

This morning I received an email from Freelanceswitch.com. It appears that the freelance survey I participated in a few months ago has finally been published. With over 3500 participants from 6 different continents, it was interesting to see the results.

The results were displayed nicely as graphs for easy reading. With sections such as demographics, freelance lifestyle and of course a part dedicated to money. I found it very interesting that the majority of respondents were male and between the ages of 23-27. No surprise was the fact that 41% primarily worked as web designers.

I found the report very interesting and very easy to browse through. The group at Freelanceswitch did a wonderful job on the report. If you didn’t participate I definitely recommend you download the report. It’s a good way to gauge where you stand among the freelance community out there. There is a fee to download the report if you didn’t participate but I think the groups deserve a little something for their hard work on this.

Funny little fact was that Australians work the least amount of hours. Are we surprised they are so laid back? Ha!
