A client approached me a couple of weeks ago inquiring about me designing him a logo for a computer repair / tech help business that he was about to start. He presented me with the name and explained the details of his business.

I came up with the idea of a pocket and two pens sticking out of it. We all know we see the tech guys with those pens (and some even have pocket protectors). I chose two pens to correspond with the “to” in the name. I also wanted a little splash of color so I added the red to the one pen. On the pocket itself I created an image that pointed in the direction of the business name to give the eye direction to the name. At the clients request the name was kept as a single word but I wanted to give some balance to the logo so the word “Geeks” was created thinner to match the weight of the lines in the pocket illustration.

The client was very pleased with the design and we are continuing on to the next project which will be designing business cards.
