Just a quick little key command for how to make a bullet in InDesign.

(PC) - Alt+0149 = •

or

You can go up under Type -> Glyphs to bring up a pallet that will allow you to select the bullet by double clicking on it. When you do the bullet will be placed where your cursor is located.
