Moving Through Windows in InDesign

Most of the time when I am working in InDesign I am working with more than one window. It can be a real pain to have to go up to the window menu and then to the bottom just to find the window you want to work on. To make things easier there is a simple keyboard shortcut you can use to toggle windows.

On Mac OS X it is… Command - ~

On XP it is… Control - ~

I am a firm believer that learning important keyboard shortcuts is one of the keys to a much more productive work flow!

InDesignsecrets.com has a great poster you can buy that shows you all the shortcuts. One side for Microsoft Windows and the other for Mac. If you are an InDesigner this is definitely a must have item!

Edit: Kitty, a Twitter buddy, pointed out that this shortcut works in most Adobe applications.
