New Animal Planet Logo Has Design Community Talking
I caught a few different posts across the blogosphere about the new logo released by the TV channel Animal Planet. It’s no surprise to find a buzz about a new logo but this one definitely has a bunch of us scratching our heads like the Chimps at the local zoo.
Many of us feel this logo, designed by the British design firm Dunning Eley Jones, is confusing and a bit unbalanced with all of it’s different font weights. The color does fit the whole earthy, animalistic feel but again it seems like so much is going on with this logo. One designer even commented on creativebits.org that it some what resembles zebra stripes. Is this really what they were going for?
I first discovered the logo over on Brand New where there is a good write up on it. I have to agree with the author that we need to wait and see what other promotional material is launched. I really hope that there is something we are missing.

There’s no saving this design. It’s bad. I would have been tossed out of the commercial art program at my school had I come up with a disaster like this. Whoever decided “This is the one!” has no clue.

It is EASY, The (what used to ve an”M” is now a “3″) And so upside the “I” you have the number “13″ the NWO”s handprint, Look around you you will notice them on many things. ARBY’s, I used to keep up with it a little more. But these folks are “BOUND, and DETEr-MINED” To bring about a “ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. And look out because it is on its way.
