Photoshop Tip #4: Change Guide Orientation
This Photoshop tip will show you how you can change your guide orientation on the fly with a simple key command.
When you click and drag a guide from the measurements area you will see a dotted line appear to show you where your guide is. To change your guide to the opposite orientation (horizontal versus vertical), all you have to do is press (Mac-Command) ALT without releasing your mouse button. This will switch the guide to the other orientation.
The example below shows what happens when you pull a vertical guide from the left and then decided you want to change it to a horizontal guide.
