Offsetting - is the transfer of ink from the face of a freshly printed sheet to the back of the sheet above it. One of the easiest ways to prevent offsetting is the use of powder, createing an air gap between the sheets that allows the ink to properly dry. Offsetting can also be known as “mark off.”
