Right before the Thanksgiving trip I made to my Aunts house for the family dinner I was looking for podcasts to listen to during the trip. I came across Adam Hay’s Rookie Designer Podcast.

Adam covers a varied group of topics and the shows are informative as well as entertaining. Some of the topics covered so far include being The Office handyman, Portfolio Building, the difference between Print vs. Web Design and even a topic on Formal Training vs. Self Training.

The Rookie Designer Podcast is, as the the website states, “Discussion & Tips for the not-so-accomplished Designer.”

Also, I have recently joined the Rookie Designer Forum to get more involved with other listeners. Adam is really good about taking suggestions for shows and materializing them. From what I have been hearing the forum is growing and I am excited about belonging to a growing community of designers that are new to the field and/or new to the freelance areana.

If you are interested in design in any way, I highly recommend this podcast. Keep up the great work Adam and I look forward to the next show!
