On Tuesday Yahoo, Inc. started to preview it’s new design. The new design is still in the preview phase and is still being worked on based on users feedback. The official launch of the redesign is scheduled to be launched during the summer.

One of the biggest things I noticed and thought is kind of cool is the ability to roll over the Mail and Email buttons on your personalized page. By doing this you reveal who is on IM and what your most recently received emails are. Definitely a great way to quickly check either of them without having to log all the way into the specific area.

I hope the new design doesn’t cause a stop the fun graphical changes that happen to it’s logo during certain times of the year. I think, as a designer, this is a fun attarction and definitely should be continued.

I have only briefly browsed around the new design but so far I think it’s a definite improvement. Let me know what you think!
